This Friday the 13th, be sure to come by and check out “Night Life” the latest collection of paintings by local artist Mat Savage.
A lot of Mat’s paintings draw upon the concept of Gaia, or Mother Earth, and each of the creatures in his paintings have a feminine, motherly quality to them. At the same time, there is an underlying concept of the cycle of life and death. All in all it creates a pleasing and somewhat dark result at the same time. The opening reception is held in conjunction with the 2nd Friday monthly art walk in the Greenwood-Phinney neighborhood. Band Vibes’ House is located inside the Greenwood Collective which houses 4 other art studios/galleries. As always there will be refreshments and great art to be had.
