Shit you can't bring back from Belize

Don't even fucking think about it!

Picture of the Week

Welcome to our newest feature here on the Purple Razors Blog.

Basically, we spend a lot of time down here in Pioneer Square, and we see a lot of weird shit, and cool shit, and we thought "why not share this with our friends?" So Lem went out on Black Friday and stood in line for nine hours to get a cheap ass camera so we can start documenting. We are coming up in the world.

Most people don't believe our stories of hanging out in the underground cities, seeing fights at the bar, and spotting chicks pissing in the ally. Well no more, we have proof.

So without further ado the first picture of the week.
Here we have some sweet paste art in our ally.

This sick ass vespa had a custom wheel cover for the spare tire that matched the seat.

Better photos coming soon

More coverage of Family and Friends Show

The good folks at Spacecraft wrote about us... weird. Here is the link.

"Night Life" By Matt Savage

This Friday the 13th, be sure to come by and check out “Night Life” the latest collection of paintings by local artist Mat Savage.
A lot of Mat’s paintings draw upon the concept of Gaia, or Mother Earth, and each of the creatures in his paintings have a feminine, motherly quality to them. At the same time, there is an underlying concept of the cycle of life and death. All in all it creates a pleasing and somewhat dark result at the same time. You can see a collection of other projects and pieces Mat has created at his website
The opening reception is held in conjunction with the 2nd Friday monthly art walk in the Greenwood-Phinney neighborhood. Band Vibes’ House is located inside the Greenwood Collective which houses 4 other art studios/galleries. As always there will be refreshments and great art to be had. Sponsors include AirBlaster, Brixton, and Fallen. Nothing like getting a jumpstart on your holiday gift giving by buying local art! 8537 Greenwood Ave N. Seattle, Wa.

Visit the other gallery sites at:

We'll be there! You should too.

The Purple Razors Family and Friend Show

Well, it was a great night, I broke out due to stress (which I tried to drink away with whiskey and tea), we tapped the keg, had the most crowded studio in the building, and the art was pretty sick to boot.

For all of those who didn't make it, well, your loss, however, because I am cool. Here are the photos to prove how rad it was, hopefully you can get a similar experience as if you were here sans the beer.

Stay tuned for December in which Lem Bartley will be debuting in a solo exhibition full of weird, wonderful imagery that will tickle all of your senses, especially your naughty ones... no it won't be a bunch of paintings of naked girls... well...

Anyway, back to the topic at hand, enjoy the photos below and feel free to contact us about pieces still for sale.

Sunday night in Pioneer Square

It's sunday night, as usual we headed down to the Central for our Sunday meeting, this is why we love Pioneer Square....

During our meeting we saw the last set of a metal band, drank stiff drinks, saw chicks with tattoos, and then witnessed a two round fight inside and then outside the bar, in which a guy got kneed in the face! The little guy lost, bad...

Anyway, technical difficulties with email have pissed me off, so I am posting this blog to let you know the show was rad, and if you missed it, well sucks for you. Here is a picture, expect a full post tomorrow.
