Lib Tech x Mike Parillo
There's no question that we are friends with all the dudes and ladies over at Mervin, it's a real family situation and we love them like an alcoholic cousin that gets arrested at every family reunion. Lib Tech always has killer art on their boards that really hit home with us Northwest flannel wearing cold water surfing bowl skating types. Mike Parillo's art is amazing and he has been working with wonder child Travis Rice to create some of the best snowboard graphics in the game. Here is a short video of the process, and also a link to an interview I did with Mike over at the Snowboard Mag website. Enjoy and go be creative you sack of lazy poop.

Cliche Skateboards Promo
Last summer I went to a 4th of July party at Cliche team rider Joey Brezinski's house. It was really weird watching Omar Salazar and pretty much the whole Chocolate team eat mushrooms and shoot fireworks at each other. I almost lost an eardrum due to a misfire and Joey's wife Amy made some awesome fruit plates. French Fred made this Cliche promo, and just watching his filming and editing is a pleasure, but some of his music choices are boring, so maybe turn down the volume crank some J Cash and watch this before you have a go on your skateboard.

Minneapolis has Art!
After my my sudden axing from Snowboard Magazine I found myself roaming about the country as a free agent doing whatever the fuck I wanted. Part of me wanted to lock myself in my room and listen to the cure while crying and masturbating, but mostly I just ended up skateboarding and looking at art. Every time I end up back home in the nitty gritty better of the two twins cities I go by the Intermedia Arts building for a quick glance at the outside walls. Since I can remember Intermedia has been giving artist a place to bomb walls without being cuffed by MPLS PD. They also host a bunch of good underground Hip-Hop shows and this was the first place I ever witnessed Brother Ali and Binary Star do their thing live. Make Art Not War and Build Ramps Not Bombs, and all that other hippie shit!

Kembali pada Bali
I am not sure if that is grammatically correct, but I am back in Bali, have been for almost a week now, so photos will be coming real quick. I will try and find some rad things to post in the next day or two and update sneak peaks at new projects.

The Art of TSB
Traditionally known as a snowboarding program that works with young people, this year was the 2nd year of The Service Board's new summer art program, extending their outreach year round to the youth they work with.
We are stepping outside our norm and completely out of the way this month down at the Coffin and giving our space completely to this group of kids.
These kids have worked hard all summer working and learning, and have... organized all their projects into a final exhibition for you!
So come stop by for this special event and check out the amazing creations these young people will have on display.
There will be refreshments and (due to the nature of this show) plenty of non-alcoholic beverages to go around.
See you there.
PS this will be our last exhibition in this space as we are relocating, so an after party will be scheduled to celebrate the good times had in this space. Hopefully those old enough to join us will.

Hanging with TSB
If you don't know about the Service Board, you should check them out, it is a great local non-profit that reaches out to young kids and teaches them the value of service and community work then rewards them with snowboarding, skateboarding and now art. I have been fortunate enough to be connected over the past couple of years, but this summer was invited to be a guest art teacher (for lack of a better term). We had our first session two thursdays ago, and got started on some really cool projects. In the end the kids will be exhibiting all of their creations from the art program at Electric Coffin for the August First Thursday, so come on down and show some support.
